A lovely quality 19th Century black forest centre piece, having an ornate carved trunk at the centre with a removable glass stem with out swept scalloped edge, a large hunting dog standing on a rocky ground amongst various foliage with a hare in it's mouth.  wonderful crips carving and in very good condition.  Circa 1880. 8 1/2" x 4" x 20" high 22cms x 10cms x 51cms high

19th Century Chinese camphor wood and brass inlaid writing slope of exceptional quality, having a drawer to the front which when pulls out opens the tambour shutter on top to reveal a lift up stationary rack with various sized compartments, there is a hinged lid which lifts up and over to reveal a black leather writing surface decorated with blind and gilt tooling, also further compartments including a pen tray, brass recessed handles to the sides and a shaped bass plaque on the top with decorative line inlay, the writing slope is in excellent condition and has lovely figured wood throughout.  Circa 1840

A highly decorative early 20th Century antique gilt and marble top console table in the George II style, having the original rectangular dark green marble top above a frieze with decorative raised scroll moulding, supported by a naturalistically carved eagle with outstretched wings perched on a rockwork base and supported on a faux marble platform base with a moulded edge.   In Roman mythology, the eagle was a companion to Jupiter, symbolizing power, protection, and authority.  Circa 1920.
